Exercise Question!

<p>I’d disagree with your last sentence. It’s perfectly possible to do sprinting a few times a week and still gain weight. As long as you’re not marathon running, you should be fine, no?</p>

<p>How important is cardio? I just like walking and lifting weights, and I hate running. Is a controlled diet good enough or do I have to some intense cardio as well?</p>

<p>What are your goals? You need to answer that question before I can answer yours.</p>

<p>Military training is the way to go.</p>

<p>Use your body weight as resistance (pushups, pull ups, situps, squats - try doing one legged squats) and try to do random things like flipping tires, lifting logs, etc…</p>

<p>You develop tons of muscle without looking like you take a crapload of steroids.</p>

<p>I tried avoiding this thread since I tend to write entire essays when explaining the science behind nutrition and exercise…</p>

<p>Yeah, I just meant not to get into heavy calorie burning.</p>
