Exeter/Andover Chances

I know this should be in the chances thread but it seems like so many more people read threads in this section.

Ok, first off I'm caucasian, applying to Exeter and Andover for 10th grade, and I got wait listed last year at Exeter, didn't apply to Andover. My app. is pretty much the same but higher test scores and a little different grades (not better or worse). Ok...

Grades (at a private school ranked around 30th in the country)- All A's except 1 B in history, taking honors math (only honors course available)

SSAT Scores- im not taking until january and february, but i've taken a few practice tests. My average scores were around..
Math: 800
Verbal: 720
Reading: 700

I don't know what percentile those are cept math which is 99%

Recs- Math and English reps should be good cuz I have A's in those classes and my teachers like me. My principal rec should be good cuz since it's my 1st year in upper school he's having a meeting with the head of middle school who wrote it last year and apparently she wrote me an amazing rec. Extra Curricular rec should be incredible.

EC-
-Piano- 7 years, multiple awards for solo and theory
-Trombone- 5 years, 1st chair in both high school bands as a freshman, All-State band and jazz band
-Trumpet- 4 years (just lessons and messing around, nothing in a real band)
-Lacrosse- 5 years, played for the top team of the best club team in my area, looking to get some varsity time this year (school's number 2 in Delaware)
-Run indoor Track (not as serious as lacrosse and probably won't play if I go to Exeter)
-Raised over $8000 in the past 4 years for the MS Society (Multiple Sclerosis) by myself
-Played piano at 2 different fundraisers
-Do some community service for the Ministry of Caring (something like once every couple weeks)
-Student Council freshman representative
-Won two Math Olympiad awards in middle school and got 1st place in a state wide science competition for my event. Also, my 8th grade history research paper got entered in a writing contest (not sure what it was called)

Interview- Exeter: I had mine with the director of admissions. I thought I did exceptionally well compared to last year. He told me, "You're definitely the type of student that should be at Exeter" and last year I didn't get told anything close to that and got wait listed. He also told my mom how "Articulate and well spoken I am" and i thought that was one of my weak points. I haven't had my Andover interview yet.

Ok so this whole thing went on really long but anyway... What do you think my chances of getting into Exeter and Andover are?

With Exeter, the more important statistic may be whether or not you intend to apply for financial aid. If last year is anything to go by, if you do apply for financial aid, you have a 7% chance of being accepted. If you don’t, 33+%. Your stats definitely seem to place you among the top third…

I don’t need any financial aid and thanks

Congratulations - expect multiple offers coming March 10! :)

Detrombone,
you need to calm down about chances and focus on
your essays.
And I think that you will def. get in.

Ccer99 is absolutely right. You will never make it into the school if every part of the application material isn’t turned in on time.
In Exeter they usually have around 3,000 applications, but only around 2,500 or less have even been finished.

i know im just paranoid, ill have everything in on time
