Exeter/Andover: Prep School Transfer

Hi, I want to change prep schools. I currently go to a boarding school that is considered in the top 30 in the country, but I am not too happy because it has been 5 years at the same boarding school already, and I am only a sophomore. I am looking at Exeter and Andover, but it is hard to know whether I will get in because my school's grading system is strange.I tried to create sort of converted grades, but it is hard.
If you want to transfer for the soul reason that you have been there too long, I really don’t think you should. It seems…in bad taste, honestly.

Thanks so much for your reply. I reread my post and it does seem to come across that way, but I have many other reasons for wanting to transfer. The middle school was wonderful and I learned a lot, but as I got to high school, my teachers have been terrible and I haven’t enjoyed academics in history, english, or language. Math and science are okay, but the teachers for junior year are bad. I am not being challenged anymore and I feel like I am not learning. My fine arts are fun, but academics are miserable becuase they are too easy. Many other people from my school have moved to boarding school for the same situation and reasons as I want to. Thank you for taking the time to answer with your opinion. I appreciate it a lot.
