It sucks that they would actually tell you why they rejected you - and early too. At least it wasn’t your top choice or anything.

Why yes, yes- I AM awesome I suppose flips hair dramatically and does queen wave to screen

No not awesome… RAD! Rad is Rad duh!!

how creative of you

RAD as in radass?

for the admins, please do not delete this post. I’m just asking :)

wow im pretty sure that’s a no

Lol. no. Rad as in radical. Like “Dude thats rad!”

surfer dude talk, man! it’s gnarly.

I think it was commonly used in like the 60’s. Idk. but me and my friends were obsessed with it in 6th grade.

ohh…I get it rofl.

I was totally waiting for someone to pull out a rad thing lol

Go Rad!!!
I’m not a big fan of Math though we’re pushed to learn it really well here in China.
No worries!!! There are other schools…

AND
does Exeter seriously turn you down only because of THAT? it’s so…

HARSH. No. Correction: extremely HARSH.

Let me continue gonnastop’s talk.

If there’s Exeter adcoms here, let me clarify this again to you.
We have put tremendous efforts on our applications. For months.
None of these essays was made in just 5 minutes. Neither were the recs.

Please appreciate our efforts. Some of us really wanted to get in. Some of us really have interests at your school

MonochromeAddict, I am sure that they understand that. There are far more more applicants than spots. I’m sure that this process is challenging for them, too. How horrible would it be to have to make a phone call telling someone that they are not getting accepted?

Yah siliconvalleymom,
I know that :D

It’s just…I don’t know.
If I were in Rad’s position, I would be very disappointed.
Sorry, it’s March 9, so emotions and spirits are running high :D

I got the Rad thing straight away-dunno what that says about me. Then again we still say groovy lol so we are a bit behimd the US in slang :p

Well, at least my positon went to someone who would actually go if given the choice between that and say TAFT(hopefully)(also since NMH isn’t really an option anymore
)

good luck;)…whatever happens, will happen forr a reason:)

I too got a call from Exeter admissions this afternoon that my son was wait listed. They said that it was a courtesy call since his sibling is a student there. So, for what it’s worth, if you have a sibling at Exeter and did not receive a call from them then you are probably accepted. Congratulations.

As painful as it is to not be accepted, I do think it is nice of Exeter to place calls to current Exeter families. Is this something other boarding schools do as well?
