Exeter in Social Media

Good Morning, the fellow audience

I know it may sound like I am overreacting, but does the fact that PEA subscribed to my Instagram profile carry any significance? PEA surprisingly followed me after I have submitted my application, even though I have been following PEA since the mid-summer.

I would appreciate your educated guesses/ thoughts.

Thank you

Contrary to what you hope, it carries no significance. Schools will follow you or send you mass communications even after waitlisting/rejecting you or after you have matriculated to another school.

Nope. It has no significance. Zero. Zilch. Nada. Read nothing into any verbal or written communications either, except for whatever communication is sent March 10. Good luck.

@GoatMama is right. We continue to receive emails from schools DS was WLd at despite him attending BS this year. And, also, have received “follow” requests by some.

Better behave yourself on social media now

I know some colleges look at student’s social media accounts. I wonder if some BSs do the same.

if you are an athlete it might mean something…

@babymalcolm - Many do so I always tell applicants to revisit their privacy settings… when in doubt: Lock. It . up.

On the other hand… some kids may have an awesome online presence that could potentially compliment their app. So - there’s that take as well.

Either way- Taking a honest look at what you’ve put out there is always a great idea. Maybe have a second set of eyes look, too and give their unvarnished opinion.

Honestly- some parents should heed that advice, too.
