On Exeter’s website, they say that after submitting the Candidate Profile on Gateway, they will send you an email with instructions for setting up an interview. I submitted by Candidate Profile 2 days ago, but I still haven’t received a response. I know this comes off as impatient (really impatient, actually), but should I necessarily be worried or should I wait until January to receive a response?
@egnatius Hopefully they still have slots. Last year, we decided to drop a school and added an additional one. That was in the November timeframe. We got one of the last slots. I’d be surprised if they still have slots left. Hopefully for you they do. You can also call and make an interview over the phone. The tough thing is once January hits with deadlines you might have to leave a message and ask someone to call you back.
Don’t wait. Call the school and set up the interview.
@egnatius You need call them to set up an interview. It took forever for that email to arrive and when it did, it told me to call them to set up an interview.
Do you want an off campus interview? Have you been to the Exeter website? It says to call or email for an interview. I asked if you want an off-site because that’s the instance that they say to fill out gateway first.
This is a quote:
Make your request early because interview appointments fill up, and all interviews must be scheduled by Jan. 15.
Thanks for the advice. Exeter’s admissions office is out until 1/2 (yay!!!) so I’ll have to wait until then to set up an interview, but I will do that first thing Wednesday morning!
The email arrived yesterday morning, and it included a link to a form to schedule an interview. Looks like I won’t be needing to call them, hopefully? I might still need to call if I don’t get a response within 7 business days (which is the window for your interview details to be sent).
