So, I'm sure that many of you are applying to Exeter, since it seems very high on the list, and I'm having some troubles with LionLinks and wanted to ask about it...

Have any of you been able to get into LionLinks at all? I've tried so many times, but the server had never been able to work...

I just got in fine just now. I know comcast has been having problems in our area so if you have comcast and live near Exeter that may be part of it.

I don't know... italianborder was told by his tour guide that exeter sends you a different website and password in Feb sometime for you to check on March 10th.

We received a letter with information about Lion Links. The letter gave us the student ID and password. We did not receive an email about it.

If you're international, they might have sent an email? If you can't get it to work, it's worth your while to call or email Exeter to follow up.

You may go to exeter's home page, click on 'current students' on top of the page, and find 'Lion Links". Remember the userid/pw are case sensitive.

We received this email today- no mention of online decisions- just mentions waiting for a mailed letter.

Dear XXXX:

Thank you for your interest in Phillips Exeter Academy. Your
admissions application is now complete. It has been sent to our
Admissions Committee for review.

Members of the Ten Schools Admission Organization will mail decision
letters on March 10, 2009. The letter will be your official
notification. By agreement, the ten schools will not fax or give
decisions on the telephone at that time. However, if you have not
received your admission decision letter by March 13, you are invited
to call, fax or email to learn our decision.

If you are applying for Financial Aid, please make sure all your
materials have been sent.

We look forward to getting to know you as we review your admissions
materials.

I sent my apps on the 12th, and they still haven't received it. How long did it take your apps to be processed PA-C? Also, they were sent from California, I don't know if that makes a difference.

It took them a long time to process some things and other were really quick. I honestly think they may have lost/misfiled two of our items- the school report and the EC recommendation. We sent them again - the school ran them to the post office on 1/15 to be postmarked again- so I don't know if they ever found/processed our first copies or the second ones. They are updating lionlinks alot lately cuz we were just marked complete last evening. They must have people working late.

Good luck thingslost- it is so nervewracking waiting for things to be complete after you put all this work into it.
We live in NH so it should have been quick mail wise.

They probably have your stuff but haven't processed it yet. It says it can take 5-10 days to process. I was just paranoid so I sent it again. LOL

You could try emailing them, asking them how long it takes typically for an application from California? Or call UPS/Fedex and ask them how long the typical shipping time takes.. Er, if the typical time is significantly different from the amount of time that's actually passed, then I suggest you re-send with a note explaining what went on? .. That's just MHO, but it could be wrong. :P

Andover received all but my current grades. Which should have been with the principal evaluation. Maybe they're so busy that they only looked at the envelope.

Hey I got in!!
The essays and parent statement we sent on about the 10th (?) but it still hasn't been processed yet... sigh...

By the way, do you think it would be OK if I sent my 1st semester report card? I've already got my principal to send the 1st quarter ones (1st marking period) but this semester's grades were really awesome...
