Exeter online course registration

Has anyone experienced problems with the online course registration this past week for Exeter?

no
(tanchen)

No, except it took two pages to hold all of my D's class selections.

Wow, Exeter starts the process early! For Andover, the enrollment agreement is not due until next week, and then more course-related items are due to arrive later in May.

it was really confusing, but everything seemed to work well for me.

We had problems with the classical languages section - it recognised our choice for first term, but we got an error message for second and third term (they were just the next 2 sections of the 100 level class). The office was open today until noon, and they said that happens with classical sometimes. Odd.

i used a different page for each semester! i thought it was sort of confusing.
liddyb4- r u taking greek or latin, and what grade?

Artsmart-

My S (incoming prep) is taking Latin. His friend that graduated from our school absolutely loves it, and coincidentally just spoke with a PEA senior who is taking a semester to work in Washington DC (ran into her on a class trip last week) loves the Classics dept, as well. I think to get a classics degree, however, she said at some point to have to take the other language from the one you have concentrated in. I have to look into that. We were a bit overwhelmed by the registration process - some of it seemed counterintuitive.

you have to take greek and latin to get a classics degree. just wondering becasue, as a prep, u have to get departmental permission to take greek.

oops.
because (sp)

You are right - I forgot about needing permission for Greek as a prep. I called over to PEA and we are going to straighten everything out tomorrow in person. It must be something really obvious that we are doing wrong - as of now I admit defeat.

i thought he was taking latin...

is there a day when the online course selection is due?

yeah, it was due last friday the 25th
i had lots of problems; first i was extremely confused but then it didnt let me enter some of my selections so i called and they said do each term on a seperate page, and then it worked fine

It was due last Friday at 8:30 am, they extended it to today at 8:30 am. We have experienced nothing but error messages - hopefully it all straightened out now.

i havent started! what time is it over there? is it past 8:30?

liddyb4 - error messages? do you mean its not going through??

COllide - the office is still open I think for either another 15 or 45 minutes (either 4 or 4:30). No - nothing went through at all. I drove there this morning at dawn to be on their doorstep at 8am and my son and I got reprimanded by the office staff for not doing it sooner. When the administrator tried to put it through at 8 am, she couldn't do it either. So we are in limbo. Bleh.

That's awful (that you were reprimanded). I would think they would be more gracious and welcoming to their incoming students. That would reall put me off.

Let's just say it was not an auspicious beginning to the next 4 years.

It's a great school and I am happy for you that you/your child was accepted, but it's that type of attitude that turned us off to that school years ago when we visited with my older son.
