I read in another thread something about a parent interview... is this at all schools? Does Exeter practice this? Is it mandatory?

I'm just curious, and my mom is more than happy to, I've just never heard of it.

I know that if you go interview at Exeter, they'll talk to you alone for a while and then talk to just your parents without you. That's what happened to me, at least. ;)

Padfoot does indeed rock, thanks so much!

I think what Padfoot described is standard procedure for most schools.

Cool......

My son interviewed at five schools and each had a parent's interview. Two schools had my son in the room.

How long was the parent's interview? Was it as formal as the student's? Or more of a 'chat'.

I mean, I'd hate to think they'd 'drill' the parents with a myriad of questions.

More of a chat. Mainly, they want to see if you have questions about the school. It is not an interview in the same way the applicants are questioned.

Oh good, lol. I'd hope not, I'd find that slightly derogatory for the parents' sake.
