Exeter?

So I go to one of the best/hardest public schools in the US, and i am applying to Phillips Exeter Academy. Still wondering whether to apply to lawrenceville because i could possibly be a day student, but i am afraid of rejection!
I get usually 3 A's and 2A- and 1 b+ on average.
I play lacrosse and field hockey (i am goalie just for field hockey)
My talent is filmmaking and photography
I have played piano for 4 years
I do competitive girl choir outside of school that you have to audition to get in
I attended Exeter Summer School this summer
I am asian/caucasian

I am good at writing humorous/unique essays. My dad is a writer and he believes that my work could def get me in even if my grades arent top notch.

My dad graduated from Exeter so how much of a advantage do i get? (We also know a lot of people that work with exeter)
Sorry people but i had to write this really quickly.
Main points:
What are my chances, and do i get an advantage because of my dad.

Also: i am studying for the SSAT right now and writing my essays. I didnt think about applying till i went to the summer school and loved the boarding lifestyle. Getting into exeter isnt my top priority in life right now but it would be amazing to go. If you have any tips PLEASE! thanks

Oh and i am a 9th grader applying for 10th

You’re in the wrong section of CC. Head over to the private school forums.

@dempisgod, You’re in the right section but don’t take the chance thread too seriously. You and your family will have a better idea where you’ll fit in BS.

Being a legacy sadly increases your chances of admission by a large amount. I say sadly because there are legacies that don’t even try, and are admitted.
