Exit counselling on student loans

Long story short I’m withdrawing from my school and gearing towards a transfer (if all else fails I’m just taking time off from my original school)

Would “exit counselling” for my original school effect my financial aid (in terms of federal loans) for the 2nd school? If so how? Would greatly appreciate it if the those who answer have had experience with something like this.

Your exit counseling will tell you when you need to start repaying loans and/or what you need to do to put them in stasis once you get back to school.

So basically if I attend the second school, by exit counselling, I will be told how payment of loans from my old school can be put on hold? That’s what I’m catching

Thanks for answering I appreciate it!

The exit counseling tells you when payments will start and how much that monthly cost will be. If and when you start at another school you can request that the loans for your first school be deferred until you leave the second school.
