They had received all my application materials on 11/12, and I saw my acceptance on 11/30.

Wow those stats are impressive, Chem921! Did you recieve notice of Honors yet?

Haha thanks, I’m fairly satisfied with them myself. I haven’t received my acceptance packet by mail yet, but I’ll let you know if it says anything about honors or scholarships.

after submitting my stuff in august my counselor finally submitted my transcript/ it finally appeared on the tracker- how long do you usually have to wait? I’m applying to CBS and I think they’re just starting to accept people

@bug2996 My app went through on September 29, still haven’t heard anything. Here’s hoping you get a quicker turnaround

Hello all,

If you’re waiting for the decision, hang in there. I have been in touch with the admissions office at UMN. They are saying that they will review priority applications post 12/15 and majority of students will receive decisions in Jan/Feb. It’s clear that many students have received decisions already, but they’re not talking about these students. Personally, it’s not clear to me why some students are receiving decisions while others with similar credentials are not. But from what I heard from the admissions office, a bulk of the decisions are yet to be made.

If you have questions about the process, don’t hesitate to call the admissions office. Please post anything new you hear from them.

Good luck to all.

Hey guys,
I was recently admitted a few weeks ago. I reviewed my acceptance on application tracker. What comes in the mail? Is there informationon housing or other things? Thanks a lot

Applied 10/23 for CSE… Still haven’t heard back yet. hopefully soon…

@monkmonk - Congrats! My son got the physical letter awhile after the app tracker showed acceptance. I can’t remember exactly what it said but it isn’t chock full of info except maybe reminding you that the next step is to enroll. If there is a chance you may go to UMN, you should put down you housing deposit. It’s cheap and you don’t need to enroll to do it. This saves you a place in line for housing. You can go online to UMN site to read about the dorms and LLCs and rooms.

Status finally changed to being carefully considered!

@Another - then you’ll get a decision within a few days (or less).

Nearing application deadlines and still yet to receive my decision still. poopface

@monkmonk Update: Just now noticed that below my acceptance, the application tracker reads: “Congratulations! You have been admitted to the prestigious University Honors Program! Your Honors admission letter has been mailed.”

@asthrera‌ still waiting too…

Posted this on the “Admissions Discussion” thread as well: Has anyone been accepted to Honors in CLA yet? Sorry if you’ve already posted and I missed it. Also, does anyone know whether it’s possible to be admitted to Honors over the summer or after the May 1 deadline? I’m thinking there may be a spot for my D based on her year-end GPA and assuming that others turn down UMTC for other institutions.

Congrats to everyone who got in, especially to honors! im not sure if I will attend in the fall, but UMN’s econ program seems strong.

Don’t want to be the person who posts every week to complain about not having a decision yet but here I am :frowning:
Would really just like to receive my decision by the end of the month but I’ve been saying that every month for the last two months. I’m seeing more people get their decisions now whose stats are closer to mine though, so that is making me feel a little bit better.

@asthrera - Why not call UMN Admissions and ask them what’s going on?
