Expedited ACT Test Grading/Results?

Some of our kids are taking the September ACT (some with writing) with deadlines looming in October and November. Does anyone have any suggestions or secrets hidden deep in the ACT Corp website to get a test graded faster than usual? The thought of giving them even more money makes me sick, but if we can get the results much quicker for a nominal fee, it might be worth it. Especially for the merit-aid award and honors deadlines. I’ve heard about paying for expedited shipping, which probably helps, but doesn’t address the real issue of getting the test graded quicker. Any help or personal experience with this would be appreciated.

I doubt it. There are hacks that will allow you to view your scores earlier but it won’t do any good if The Act corp can’t send an official score report yet to the merit schools that require it.

Thanks @actprep34 . Debating whether or not my son should take September test with or without Writing to move the grades along quicker. Some of his schools, however, require Writing.

The writing scores are officially released 1-2 weeks after the MC, so I see no reason why the ACT can’t just send an official report of just the MC portion.

He should be fine with deadlines, but if there are any delays, it could be a problem.

IIRC, some Sept essay scores were so delayed last year that there were concerns about Nov 1st ED deadlines.

Well most of the ED schools I know (I’m not sure about merit EA deadlines) will accept scores after the Nov. 1st deadline as long as you submit the rest of your app on time and have the ACT send them directly to the school once they are out.
