does anyone know how generous gwu is w financial aid? definetly can not afford to drop 46 grand a yr for undergrad. my family is well enuff that we prolly wont get much but not well off enuff where that kinda price wont put a severe dent in their pockets
please respond!

If you have good grades and have an SAT above a 1400 or close to it, then you will get some form of scholarship. GW is very generous with financial aid(I got 12,000 a year and I applied ED! I didn't even apply for Financial aid!!)

O, and my scores were subpar: 1270 SAT. But I guess they liked my rank and EC's

Hippo,
Have you received your packet from GW? My son hasn't received his yet...where do you live?

In Co. I haven't gotten it yet either, but I asked on the telephone about if I got into ESIA, and some nice adcom guy got on there and told me about the scholarship. I was so happy!!!!!! Maybe he was santa clause!!!

Whereabouts in Georgia, Hippo? I'm just curious - I am originally from Social Circle

Congrats Hippo! Now you can have a nice relaxing holiday without the stress of more apps! That's how my son feels! He goes to a very large public high school right outside of Dallas. There are 950 in his class and we don't know of anyone else who applied to GW. Most of the kids are staying in the state of Texas. #1 has applied to ND. Hopefully the packets will come in soon!
