Hi,
I was wondering what the likelihood would be that someone who has no experience in chemical research to get an interview at a pharmaceutical company as a chemistry co-op. I have work experience (just not chemistry related) and a 3.5+ gpa.
Thanks!!!
Your posts indicate that you’re a sophomore transfer student in Chemistry at Northeastern. By now you should be acquainted with your academic and co-op advisor (Katie). She would be a MUCH more reliable source of information than random people on College Confidential. Make an appointment and ask her! Do you talk with your professors? Are you a member of the Northeastern student ACS chapter (NUSAACS)? Ask the upperclassmen in your major what they’ve done! Did you attend the College of Science co-op fair? These are all things you might want to do to get a better idea of your chances.
