Can someone of the international students tell me his or her experiences of the life and the colleges/high schools? What have you done to get there? I maen what qualifications/special features should you have? Which books have you read? What have you learned in whole?
Every details please!! :)

^^ i mean^^ not i maen, sorry :)

i think it depends on what country you are from..here are some guidelines from my point of view
1. Take the MOST challanging high school curriculum available (solid subjects and grades at the arbitur i guess)
2. Exhibit leadership - do unusual things, show that you feel strong about certain issues by forming clubs, etc..
3. Show unique personality - through essays, experiences etc, show colleges that there is no other person in the world like you.
4. ofcourse do well on standardised tests
5. fill your applications (Esssays etc,) thoughtfully and try to exhibit maturity of thought and expression
6. Helps a lot if u dont need financial aid

^^I live Germany, but i was born in Ukraine so i can speak Russian and German.
Yea,...financial aid..that`s an other problem... I never get for example 160 000$ for 4 years Yale...

thanks for your information!!

Yale is need blind ... but I BEG YOU to apply to safeties... schools that have average SAT scores atleast 200 points below your score and offer plenty of aid

so does an IB diploma predicted grade of 40+ help at all?

^^what`s an IB diploma?

IB is really looked favorably by U.S colleges, more than an ordinary high school diploma. And 40+ is a great score. And Alissa if you are a german citizen I think DAAD has some scholarships for german undergraduates who want to study in U.S

^^ok thanks :☻
