<p>I'm just curious, for those who have had sucessful experience in IB/S&T, on a resume for an undergrad applying for a SA program in NYC, is experience say as a Finance Intern at a large company such as GE, less valued than say experience at a small, unknown IB in the midwest (Ohio)?</p>
<p>I'm currently at GE in a year round finance internship program, but ultimatley want to move to IB/S&T next summer in NYC. While I don't regret my choice at all, I am wondering if perhaps interning at a small IB in Ohio may have been a wiser choice.</p>
<p>I was encouraged by parents/friends of parents that GE was a solid choice, however, the kind of finance work I am doing is more internal and does not seem as relevant to banking and finance.</p>
<p>Any thoughts? Does this sort of work experience help or hurt me?</p>
