Experience with triple in dorms?

So, I'm gonna be in a triple in Unit 3 this year and i'm a bit paranoid about sleeping on the bottom bunk thing cuz the top bunk might fall on me while i sleep and i die or something. i know that sounds ridiculously stupid/silly, but have there been any cases where this happened?

Also, which of the three beds/space is the best? Is it just a matter of preference or is one part of the room better or more convenient than another?

Another Q, the website on Cal Living doesnt really have any good pics or videos of how a triple is. Anyone know where there are some good pics/videos that help show triples better than what Cal Living has? Thanks!!

i think i’ve heard of like one case in which the top bunk broke. and my friend had the planks supporting the mattress crack (and the maintenance just duct taped it back up which i found hilarious.) in general though, safe enough unless you’re roommate is fat. err big boned. whatever.

don’t know about unit 3, but in general, it’s like one long desk shared by two people and one individual desk. the long desk above has the solo bed. and the bunk bed is on the opposite side. depends on where you’re building is facing as well. i had to face the sun which was both good and annoying.
In general, just expect to be a little cramped if all three of youse brings up a lot of stuff I had one roommate who lived nearby so he brought enough to last 2 weeks and then would go home. And I would advise not to play first come first serve. Instead just talk with your roommates before move in about beds/closets/whatever else.
