Experimental 5th section?

Did anyone else have a 5th section to their test book, not including writing? Before they released all the people that weren't taking the writing they told us to flip to the back inside cover of the book for a survey and instead there was like 20 English questions there. The girl next to me had math questions. The proctors were utterly confused.

Whats the deal with that?

I had an extra science section, but they never told us to do it so we didn’t.

I didn’t notice if I did or not, but my friends said there was an extra section. The teacher in my room never told us about it though. We didn’t even do the usual survey, but this was my first time taking writing…do you not do that survey if you are doing writing?

I took the test without writing and we took an extra English test. It had one passage with 30 problems, 20 minutes. My friend from the same testing site, but another room had an extra reading section.

When I took the test in april, I had the survey. This time, however, I didn’t. I think the extra section is only on the June test for those that didn’t take writing.

Yeah I think jaredririe is right because I took the ACT with Writing, and I only had a survey at the end before the writing section. But, a few of my friends who didn’t take the writing portion said they had some experimental 5th section on the test.

I think the fifth section was for ACT without writing only. With writing, you did the survey, then they took up the test booklets, then you did the writing portion. At least that’s what happened at my test center.

I was ACT + writing, and I had the 5th section but no survey questions

Same here. ACT plus writing, and I had an extra reading section, but our proctor didn’t make us do the survey or the fifth section. she was a little crazy though…

I had ACT w/ writing and saw an extra math section, but we didn’t do that or even a survey this time, which I thought was weird.

i had the extra section as science so just bubbled C the whole way down then slept

Well where I took it they had all 130 people cramped into one room, so one of the proctors mumbled something about how if they spread people out different then we’d do the 5th section. But she stilll didn’t seem to know what she was talking about…

I saw an extra reading section in the end, but our proctor said nothing about it. Took act + writing and never did survey. So what was the point of an extra section?

i didnt notice anything,lol.

there isn’t supposed to be an experiemntal lawlz

anyway, ACT sucks and I like the SAT a lot more.

No arguments here onesadkorean. I actually like the SAT, especially since I have time to look over my answers at the end of each section. But, I have heard that the ACT does sometimes throw in an experimental section at the end of the test, kind of like the SAT does.

I took ACT no writing. I had a math section. 16 questions, 20 minutes. Our proctor had us take it. We didn’t have a survey though.
