I've read somewhere that there is a good chance that people taking the June ACT will have a short experimental section (ACT is not known to usually put experimental sections on their tests). Is this true? If there is an experimental section, I'm sure it will be obvious to identify it. Therefore, if everyone knows that the ex. sec. won't count toward your grade, won't everyone blow it off? I personally would rather put my head down than waste another 30 mins (or however long it is) doing questions that I don't have to do. Does anybody know about this?

I remember last June when I didn't take writing, there was a 5th section. It was reading ... and I was like screw that I'm done (cuz we had finished the 4 sections) .. and so did the rest of the room because they all knew it didn't count for anything. I'm not sure if that's how they do it if you take it with writing though. They might just mix it in with the regular questions so you can't tell the difference (like, maybe only 70 out of the 75 english questions will actually count?) idk .. just a thought.

^ Yeah. I didn't have an experimental section when I took the ACT last June. And I did take the writing.

And no, the ACT is nice enough to tell you when a section is experimental.
