Ahhhh crap. I came in planning to get at least a 1520 and I know I did well on the verbal and I know I got every mathematics one right except for four of them, ALL 4 in the first section!! PLEASE tell me this was the experimental section.
My test was set up like this:
Math (30 min.)
Verbal (30 min.)
Math (30 min.)
Math w. SPR (30 min.)
Verbal (30 min.)
Math (15 min.)
Verbal (15 min.)

I've taken plenty of practice tests and this Math section seemed much harder than what I was used to... Or maybe it was because I started out nervous.

tell me what questions you've encountered in that section, and I'll tell you if it's experimental.

i think the only question i remember (and my memory may be wrong) from that section is one with a fake symbol that was like a diamond with a b e and f on it, and it represented a simple equation, and then one of the questions was - which one of these alterations would still work. and the answer choices included options like flipping a and f, making b and e negative, etc.

the symbol was divided into four sections each occupied with one number. the shape of the entire thing was a diamond

that was the first section. I do specifically remember the last question of the 3rd section (the one I hope was not experimental) involved the highest 3 digit number divisible by 5 prime numbers and the answer was 990.

the answer was 930, buddy :)

thats not what Im asking, is it "buddy"

if someone can actually help me out instead of nitpick my mistypes please do, it'll be greatly appreciated.

Please Anyone!!!!!!!!!!

I pretty sure, sec 4 is the experimental section

This has been confirmed many times on our AIM SAT chat

how do u guys know if it's an experimental section or not?

ey op, you sound really confident about your score in your first post, so instead of contradicting yourself with your desperate attempts at salvation, just wait for the results like the rest of us
the reason i am posting this is I was greatly irritated by the fact that you responded to slicmlic's post in that way. Sure he didn't have to nitpick, but the fact is that you WERE wrong about the answer. Don't try to cover it up by pretending that it wasn't what you were trying to say.

blinc1rca, you did screw up on the experimental.

experimental was the section with the answer as 930.

And if memory permits, this is the math section that came after the verbal section, and RIGHT BEFORE THE QUANTITATIVE COMPARISONS.

Right?

i thought it was the first math section...didnt it have a question with bees on it too...that was the first section if they were on the same one and im pretty sure they were

the bees was the very first section it ended with the plumbers question.

the prime digits of 930,950, etc was the SUPPOSED experimental section. This section came right before the q.c. comparison section.

Now can someone tell me what section was experimental? I have two opposing views.

This is for the M V MM VV M TEST

i think i had the same exact test as yours iamstupid...i had M(MC),V,M(MC),M(QC),V,V,M...i thought the first math was harder...and my reading passages were the ones about the Memphis guy and fossils...cant the first section be experimental too?

The third section was experimental...I had the same test and the first section had that symbol problem.

I thought the first section wasn't that hard at all.
The third section was much harder.

Someone posted a couple of days ago that the third section was experimental and posted the link.

-4 will still get you at least 720 or 740 depending on the curve

from what i've read here, the first section HAS NEVER BEEN experimental.

the general consensus was that the 2nd math section was experimental (right before q.c. section).

and yes I had the Memphis guy and fossils, and the Chinese woman, and AFrican woman, and the final reading on the two judges and public schools and libraries
