Experimental sections

Yeah, I just remembered, I had the section with the girl who loved poetry drawing with crayons, I think that was in the same section with the human migration during ice age passage. So, has anyone confirmed whether or not this was the experimental? I think the best way to find out is to get someone who definitely didn't have a reading experimental but rather a math or writing one, and ask him/her if this section was on that person's test.

It was not experimental...i had a math experimental and still had the ice age

I had section 2 and 3 math, and am trying to determine which was experimental. Do people who had either reading or writing experimental remember a circle with a swirl through the middle and u had to find the area? Or the amount of rope around the pool problem (#20)?

rope around the beech you mean? i had that and the "find area of shaded swirl"

whichever section had the one with the missing triangle leg was experimental, i didnt have that one.

metfan did u have math experimental tho or CR or WR?

Metfan do u mean u didn't have the question w/
_///_

this figure?
Shouldn't this be in the section w/ 20 q's? cuz i had two 20 q's math sections, and my experimental was one of those..

Did u also have that question with AB+AC < or > BC thing in ur math section?? It's so confusing.. I wonder which my experimental sec was.

I just want to know, from someone that did NOT have math experimental, whether they remember the problem with the swirl and with the rope around the beach.

yea i got y + (16000/y) for that one..i plugged in numbers twice and it worked both times.

How was each secion of the test? Was it what you would have expected, harder?, or easier?

is it true that the curve is "EASIER" or whatever...like a 740 one date would be a 750 or 60 another date

so were the questions that ShinYou were referring to experimental...i hope so

Did u also have that question with AB+AC < or > BC thing in ur math section?? It's so confusing.. I wonder which my experimental sec was.

that was experimental, i did not have that

_///_

was not experimental along with the swirl

So... for the people who had 2 CR first, and who think that section 2 was the experimental (WHICH I HOPE because I think I really messed up), does anyone remember any of the questions?

I went on some other thread, and asked if the section 2 (the one with ice age/human migration) was the experimental, but unfortunately it wasn't, since apparently other people who had the math experimental had this passage.

omg, the ice age one sucked so bad...
i didnt expcet the compare contrast with two medium passeages, beacuse in the practice tests, it was usually the 25 min section with 8 vocab questions or the 20 minute section

but section 2 was definately the experimental section on CR

You said "usually," meaning there were some cases that it wasn't like that, meaning it was perfectly fine for collegeboard to put two compare/contrast passages in that section, meaning section 2 doesn't necessarily have to "definately" be the experimental?

well section 2 for me was the one with 23 questions and i completely forgot the long passage. it was definately that because other people who don't have 4 CR passages have said they had the clovis people, sleep research, and library passage. also, the SAT reading section is supposed to have 24+24+19 questions for the critical reading. that's the way their raw score system works. each other section had 24, 24, and 19 questions, meaning that the one with the 23 questions had to be the experimental.

and the "usually problem"...sorry i meant the practice tests i've always taken didn't have compare/contrast in the section with 5 vocab, and two medium passages.

Oh, I hate to break it to you, but "clovis people" was in the ice age passage (they were one of the civilizations the guy in the second passage of the compare/contrast thought migrated across the sea rather than across the land bridge), meaning this was indeed not experimental. I know, it stinks, sorry if I put a damper on your day.

that the second section was the experimental, judging at least from people who had math experimentals saying that both the clovis and "girl at library" passage were there.

The passage in the second section was really hard it just killed me..the CR in other sections were pretty straightforward, in my opinion (this is teh fifth time i've taken it..so it should be that way, sorta. ) no confusing questions at all, except one.

Does anyone know the answer to the "Tarzan" question in the last passage

But wasn't the clovis...oh, what's the use, nevermind.
