I recently was accepted to a good college with a failing grade on my mid-year report. This grade has dropped about 8 more points in the past months. It's just extremely difficult for me. I want to talk to admissions just to explain or to show my interest.

What are the steps that I should take? Should I e-mail or call? Should I ask my interviewer for help? Or e-mail the staff at the help website for this college?

Thank you for any comment. I'm really worried about this.

Call admissions and ask what to do. Your interviewer can’t help now, and it’s best to speak to someone directly rather than email. Do it today so you can get some real information and stop worrying about the unknown. Good luck.

My D is flailing in trig, which the math class started working on after the acceptances for EA went out. So her grades do not yet reflect the trig troubles.

However, she has no intention of ever taking this level of math again, is cursing the GC for having talked her into it, and is really really trying.

If we hear from the college abt grade concerns, we’ll be asking the teacher to call them and explain it is not senioritis or any of those things, just a kid struggling with concepts over her head.

PS she won’t be taking trig or higher math at the college either, when she gets there. Only the math that they offer to non math majors.
