<p>You can usually apply to as many EA and rolling schools as you want without affecting the ED application. (But read the particular ED school’s ED rules—the ones posted on the school’s website, not a guide—just to be sure!) In any case, you would not be able to <em>accept</em> an admission offer from a rolling school before hearing from the ED school (unless, of course, you withdrew the ED application). But since rolling schools typically give you until May 1 to accept the offer of admission, once you have a rolling admit, you can just sit on it until hearing from the ED school.</p>

<p>If the ED school admits you, then you have to decline all current offers of admission and withdraw all pending applications.</p>
