Oh, it turns out that would not be a good guy to contact, he is from the Bradford campus. So I imagine getting accepted there is 100% different than getting accepted at main.

I was thinking more of a phone call than e-mail, so both of you can ask and answer questions in one session. He or his staff may not ask anything, but you should be prepared.

You DO have to give the rolling admissions process about 6-8 weeks. Maybe others answer if you have given UPitt enough time to review your application.

There is nothing else that I can add to this thread. !!! GOOD LUCK !!!

Thanks!

They told me two weeks was a possibility, actually, so I'm hoping to hear this week.

Another thing to consider is, out of those 3252 transfer applicants last year, 1282 of them are for the College of General Studies, out of which only 56 got accepted. So excluding the CGS, the numbers are 836 accepted out of 1970 applied, or about 42%. Now if only I could find stats on engineering transfers.

Any other input on what "standard" they might be holding me to at this time of the year?

I just called and inquired about whether there is still ample space in the program (called as an independent third party, didn't tell them it was me), and he said yes, there is, and he said as far as he knows they don't "close" any programs. What does that mean then? That they have a lot of space and no big limitation on that?

I also asked him, just for clarification, what the min GPA is, and he said 2.5. Interesting!
