i know a little bit about B&R now and its not for me, but im wondering about the others explo floors, because i really want to get in this building and i know my chances are slim since im ED unlses i do explo. im italian, though i dont speak it... anyone know anything about the italian casa? and i know THN explorations have like giant kitchens and bathrooms (at least the film floor), but in hayden are exploration floors just the normal setup with ppl grouped by their interest? and does anyone know where the exploration floors are actualy are in the building, views, etc. thanks

No actually if you're ED you're more likely to get into Hayden if you apply early enough.

oh wow bad typo i meant im RD...

hayden explorations floors are the same as any other floor, just the people who applied live there (and they get more money to spend as a floor)
you don't have to speak italian to live on the floor... however just as a warning, the spanish & german floors didnt have much interest last year, so they just put the kids who applied on the french floor, so chances are the same thing will happen. not that thats a bad thing, because the french floor RA is awesome (he just won RA of the year for all of freshman year residence halls)... just saying that might happen.
the tv floor's ra is really awesome as well
you cant go wrong with explorations, it gives you a great community to start off with and something to talk about with people who arent in explorations
good luck

thanks for the response, i appreciate it. do you know where the floors actually are in the building... lowrise, hi-rise, etc. just curious.

When I went visited NYU recently, my tour guide said he was on the NYU show floor and had a great view of the empire state building/surrounding buildings/wash. square park, so I'm assuming that one is kind of high up? Maybe?

anyone know anything else? forms due the 11th... tough choice

ok does anyone at least know who i might contact to find out about this

i lived on the 10th floor in hayde.. i.e. smack dab in the middle of the 9th floor (The NYU Show) and the 11th (French Floor). That being said, the 9th floor seemed kinda like a bunch of kids who just wanted into Hayden. The French floor, however, was great. I had some friends up there.. they all hung out together, did a lot of activities, and were generally good friends. They were a wide array of majors and types of people who generally were taking or just interested in French.

I was on the French Floor this year, and yeaaa goooo Bryan (our RA). He's great!
