Does anyone have first-hand experience with the Exploratory major? I know the facts about it from the college tour/online stuff, but I want to know people's opinions about it. Is it worth it, or should I just choose a major and change it later if I don't like it? I have 2 other options that I could possibly major in.

At FSU you have to take 36 hours of liberal arts, so there is a year’s span to decide what to major in. I would think really hard and long and choose not something that pays more, not something that has more job security, but to arrange priority of something that you are really passionate about. Of course, the two former factors are very important as well, which is why I’m not majoring in something like communications (I don’t even like communications, but let’s be real)

Before senior year I was planning on majoring in mathematics. However, I took AP Bio this year and I fell in love with biology. I looked at FSU’s academic map for biology, and I’m really liking the courses they’re offering for the major. I’m planning on double majoring in mathematics and biological sciences.

In order to declare a major, I’d definitely do exploratory for a year, and if liberal arts hasn’t helped me decide, I would do exploratory for one more year (so up to sophomore year). I would take the most diverse courses while being reasonable. As interesting as history (just an example) might be to some, just remember there are not that many jobs that work with history.
