<p>Rejected as well. I think writing a bad essay didn’t help, but it probably wasn’t smart to apply November as well. From what I read, the September kids had less competition. Still, I wanted to see the fall colors

<p>The selection process seems extremely competitive! Now, I am really scared When did you find out?</p>
<p>I would assume, however, that if you haven’t recieved your email. they must be preparing plans for you! Don’t fret. </p>
<p>My academics were strong, but my essay had too many errors and wasn’t inspired. It came off as forced. I knew when they said that we would not get the notification until today, I was toast. </p>

My essay was pretty polished and my stats are stronge. But I am asian, so… I don’t know. There are too many competitive Asians.</p>
<p>But I wanted to get the campus feel that is lacking in summer visits. </p>
<p>I don’t want to make you worry, but I am Asian. </p>
<p>But like I said, you are probably going to get in. They would have told you already if you were rejected.</p>
<p>ehh. I am not going to keep my hopes up too high. But it would be so awesome if I can go because no one has ever gone to Bowdoin from my school in the past 4 years and Bowdoin is not visiting my school I have very limited resources.</p>
<p>I got rejected :-(… I went to amhersts divoh so I guess the competition is more fierce for this program. </p>

<p>"Congratulations! You’ve been selected to attend the 2012 Explore Bowdoin from Thursday, November 1st to Sunday, November 4th. Please note that this is an SAT testing date, if you now have a conflict with the SAT date or if your plans have changed, contact me or Pat Folger immediately. We’ll be making your travel arrangements very soon so please let us know if you are no longer able to attend. I do hope you’re excited about Bowdoin and are still planning on joining us! There are a few business items that we need to take care of in order to get things moving along for your visit. (Some logistics stuff…)</p>
