I was just accepted to unc and i was wondering if anyone could tell me about the explore carolina program they have? I was planning on going to the one over president's day and booked a flight bc im oos, but i was just curious as to how it works?

Hi, I was hoping someone else who has attended these days might answer too, but it is my understanding that you sign up on your MyCarolina account. Then a week or so before, you will be emailed an agenda so you can decide what activities you want to puruse. There are several options at each time period. Has anyone else gone? Did you find it a good way to get a feel for the school?

You will begin the day with an information session on general things that relate to UNC. Usually they have some of the campus groups to lead in some cheers, etc. to get you excited. Then you will have a chance to tour the campus, then go to a “fair” in which there will be booths set up by various groups and departments to acquaint you with their offerings. You will get to choose a small group based on your interests- math majors, english majors, etc. for a tour and information session. You will have lunch at Rams (the better of the two dining options). It is a day worth attending, especially if you are not familiar with the campus and its offerings or you are undecided.

Thank you! it says on their website you can sit in on a class, but how does that work?
