For everyone accepted, or about to be accepted, what Explore USC date do you plan on attending?

And, this may be a really stupid question but I'll ask in anyway. I know that the scholarship interview people stayed overnight with a student for their Explore USC, so does Explore in April also include the overnight stay with a student? All the information they sent on it didn't really make that clear or not.... lol.. or maybe I missed something....

I don't know if I'm going. I live in Chicago, so it's a bit expensive.

I believe you only get to stay overnight if you go by yourself to Explore USC. I emailed (and called) and asked because my parents can't come, and I want to save some money. I can't remember if the guy told me it was only for OOS students without other guests.

I need my financial aid package before I decide to go or not, but I will either go the 9th or the 16(17?).

bump.......

I'm from Chicago too. I really hope we get to stay overnight in a dorm; that would help me decide...

Son is going April 2nd

I'm pretty sure the program ends at 9 PM, but I'm not sure if that's applicable to students who aren't from the area... :-/

I just read through the itinerary, and it's not overnight. So, I should have just looked at that first. lol

April 16th! April 16th!

you can stay in a dorm if youre alone from your parents. I dont think you can stay in a dorm if youre not.

What day I go entirely depends on whether I get into Pomona or not, because I want to go to their weekend thing too. I'm getting dangerously close to having too many absences. If I have more than 8 then I have to take finals. That would SUCK!! lol

I wanna go the 16th, but then I would have to go w/ my dad. He can be hugely embarassing like all the time. lol

Dont worry. Ive gone past the "embarassed about parents" point. I know my dads embarassing, and Ive stopped caring. Pomona's harsh (can anyone say sub 10% acceptance rate?) I didnt even try for Pomona because I didnt think that I would have a chance. In any case I got rejected from CMC and waitlisted from Pitzer, so Claremont consortium is out for me.

cowtipper, you think 8 absences for exemptions is harsh...try 3 T_T

It's cool to see other people who know what the Claremont colleges are. Every time I talked about Pomona, people would think I meant Cal Poly Pomona and go, "You wanna go there!?" lol. I got rejected today there, (about 300+ students out of 5900! yikes!) but didn't care at all--now I don't have to make a decision. I already chose USC over UCLA because of USC's journalism and communications programs. Plus, Trojans are just so much cooler, right?? ;)

I really don't expect to get into Pomona (I've been rejected at 4 schools in the past 36 hours... lol), so I'm set on going to USC. I've wanted to go to USC since I was 5 years old, so I'm excited. Me=biggest USC football fan ever. lol
