Exploring the Mind and Other Focus Programs

Hello everyone- I was admitted early decision to Duke and I'm interested in applying for the Exploring the Mind focus. I know applications open tomorrow and after looking through old threads related to the program I still have a few questions.

Could anyone give me a better idea of the teachers/ workload for the courses- especially Neurobiology of the Mind and The Mind and Language. Rate my professor and a few old CC threads had varying input, and I'm curious how more recent students felt about their experience and whether they thought using 2.5 classes for the program was worthwhile.

Since you're required to apply to four focuses, I'm also interested in Cognitive Neuroscience and Law and slightly interested Power of Language. I'm still unsure of my fourth option, and will probably just have to choose one. How common is it to get below your first or second choice? How difficult is it to leave the program if you change your mind?

Thank you for taking the time to help me and if anyone has any other input or advice about the focus programs, feel free to chime in.

Hey I was actually in exploring the mind last semester. I really recommend it. Neurobio of mind was fun, workload wasn’t bad. And mind and language is a new class so I have no idea what that’s gonna be like
