Express interest in double major in essays?

I would love to double major in Computer Science and Psychology (or at least minor in one or the other) when I go to college. I have been expressing this interest in my college essays/supplements, and I'm wondering if this is a bad idea. My worry is that colleges might think it's a bold statement (though I'm really interested in the subjects, I have no idea if I'll be able to handle the course load.) and you usually apply into one intended major anyways.

I'm not sure which one of the two subjects I'll officially put down as my intended major.

I'm planning on applying to UC's, NYU, Purdue (and maybe USC).

Thanks!

Colleges know that a ton of students change their major. One of my friends in high school was really gung-ho about science and engineering. He want to a very STEM-oriented school. Two years later, I facebook stalk him and find he’s majoring in religious studies. Though an extreme case, I wasn’t too surprised. (I should add that at schools where changing majors does not happen, it is more of an institutional problem than anything else.)

You being so specific about your undergraduate goals may make you sound naive. It may also make you sound close-minded.
