<p>As many of you already know, we’re posting first-deadline decisions today at 4 pm. This simple act–turning a switch, really–will be the culmination of three months of intensive effort on the part of the staff here in Jackson Hall. More important, it will be the culmination of nearly thirteen years of work on the part of our candidates, who have in some ways been preparing for this moment from the time they entered kindergarten.</p>
<p>To those who’ve been admitted: we congratulate you and hope you’ll choose to join us. If you’re undecided, we hope you’ll visit, so that you can see Chapel Hill with your own eyes and make a thoughtful and well-informed choice. </p>

<p>I doubt it - there really hasn’t been any consistency over the years on release times, it seems, so I wouldn’t put too much stock into thinking it could be the same.</p>
<p>Well, has anyone actually heard 5 from admissions? Or is it all rumors at this point?</p>
<p>I think they’re all assuming 5 because that’s the time the admissions office closes, and everyone is guessing that they’ll release it then so that they won’t have to take any phone calls about decisions today.</p>
<p>Damn it. Nothing in the mail. Don’t know what I expected…</p>
<p>It’s all rumors. But since they haven’t done it by now, I doubt they will before 5. It makes sense and it’s the best for the admissions office…just not the applicants!</p>
<p>UNC has “Applied Science” major with Biomedical Engineering track. They basically see the BME classes broadcasted from NCSU & the electives are different.</p>
<p>Hmmmm…fantastic news about the scholarship finalist! I’d say given that, acceptance question is moot! Congratulations!!!</p>
