ExPrEsS yOuRsElF! unc chapel hill

Weird, my daughter is almost positive she did not have this link this morning. Maybe it just got added to hers late. I’m sure it doesn’t mean anything though.

I agree…The prospective students tab has always been there.

“…if only UNC admitted based on who was most obsessive about it…”

ROTFL! :)

carolinahopeful: I have the prospective tab, too, but I’m pretty sure it’s been there since before I sent in the application. And I found on the admissions blog that last year the scores did not come out until like three in the morning… y’all should go look at the blog from last January, it looks like everyone stayed up all night the day before results talking on it  I just might have to stay up and wait, but as luck would have it, my calculus midterm is the next day. Fun…

@ladydianeski I have a feeling most of us would be in ;)

Why can’t they release decisions today :(. I’m hoping for an update on the blog.

Does anybody have admissions data to compare First Deadline with Second Deadline? Are admission rates about the same? Or is it better to apply First Deadline? Just curious, because now I really regret missing that Nov. 1 deadline since UNC is my top choice.

Isn’t second deadline today? The blog said 14,000 applied in 1st deadline. When the decisions come out, they will post admitted/deferred/rejected numbers. I’m sure they will then update as to how many 2nd deadline apps they received, and you can do the math. Have no idea if they take similar numbers from both app. pools. Good luck to you!

We’re not seeing that Additional Admissions Information tab. Ruh-roh! :o

Something tells me most CCers have a great shot at getting in, no matter when they apply. :)

Remember, too, that many first-deadline folks will end up choosing another college. (Amazing, but true. :)) The admissions folks will have a good sense of how many admitteds are NOT attending by the time they’re making their second-deadline decisions…

True…because they stated that there is no wait list until March. Is May 1 the acceptance date? Or earlier?

If I faxed something yesterday, do you think the adcom will use it in my decision? I think the decisions were made a long time ago but whatever.

hahaha it would be cool if all of us got in
“prospective students” tab has always been there, i’ve noticed it the day after i sent in application.

I was also hoping they’d update the blog today. And yes, today was the final deadline for the second date. I’d assume that applying to the first deadline gives you a better shot. LadyDianeski, I think we probably have a better than average chance, but I don’t want to be the only one on here who was deferred. It’s more and more nerve-wracking every day.

Hoping for good news for all of you! D was up til 4am doing an English paper & other homework - keeps saying “Once this week is over, my life will be easier”. I really think even if she gets rejected she’ll be okay, just ready for an answer.
chopeful - thought they would update blog, too. Maybe this afternoon?

If that blog is updated and tells us to expect decisions tommorow. OH DOGGY!!!

Have to ask - are you guys posting from school?

Nope, NY is getting hammered with weather this year. Snowday for my family / I have midterms this week and am exempt from all until Thursday :D.

@boymom, many seniors do not have to take final exams because they received a b or an a in the class. because of this, seniors get to miss school. so i’m at home.

@boymom Yes, but I have an online class this period. I’m a week ahead, so I don’t have any assignments to do. I would love if they said decisions were availiable tomorrow.
