Hi, I was expelled for possession of cannabis from my Highschool about 18weeks into my 10th grade year. My grades were average and I was struggling with the school anyways but I was wondering how this might affect my chances of getting into college? I have to spend a minimum of 9weeks at alternative education but I'm going to spend my 4th 9 weeks there also instead of spending just 9weeks at my homeschool with teachers and work I won't be familiar with considering I wasn't there for 27weeks. Do you think this is a wise decision? My grades are much better now with straight As and 1 B. My homeschool sadly is a F school at the moment and I was wondering if I could transfer to any other public school and avoid the mediocre status of that school. I heard about the no child left behind act and heard of a friend who changes schools because his school failed to reach the correct rating. Is this true and how can I do this? I live in Florida by the way.
