Last semester I heard another student talking about the head of his college expunging his records for a whole semester because of extenuating circumstances.
I was wondering if anyone know something about this?
I was raped before the semester began and it took a huge toll on my academics. I passed two of my classes, but failed the other two. I have to retake one for a minor that I’m pursuing, but I was wondering if there’s any way to simply remove the other one as it no longer pertains to my field of study.
Wow. Sorry to hear about what happened.
I can’t point to anything concrete, but I have heard of people that were able to get entire semesters dropped due to extenuating circumstances, but if I remember correctly, the entire semester had to be dropped and one couldn’t choose specific classes to keep and specific to drop. Again, I don’t have a rule or anything concrete to point to but I have heard of it. I can’t recall if it was at UC level or CCC level either.
Your best bet would be to talk to a counselor.
Take that up with your university. Most will make exceptions. I’m shocked that yours hasn’t already. Were they aware of the situation?
