Well it doesn’t matter for me. Both of mine were submitted a few days ago. But I thought this would be a helpful resource for others.

But honestly, if a school offers an extended deadline to everyone and someone wants to use that time to work on last minute “problem areas” of their application, they should go ahead and use it if they want because you know a lot of other kids are going to anyway. So you might as well try to give it your best shot, even if that means using the extra days (that they are offering in the first place).

Affected people only. So really, if you’re on the internet posting on CC right now, you shouldn’t use the extension. Although it still affects people (like me) if their schools are closed and they can’t get things in on time.

@lacamotif - If you have phone/internet, check the colleges websites or call them tomorrow morning.

My D’s school (which is closed today and tomorrow, at least) sent an email saying that they would independently confirm with the school that she was affected.

^^Note that some extended deadlines are for all applicants, others are for ONLY for students in affected areas. Check the college websites for specific details.

Guys, check the school website of all colleges you are applying to. And like another poster mentioned, if you are on CC you have internet access.
Sometimes people get so dependent on CC answering their questions.

I wasn’t meaning you specifically, I apologize if you think I was attacking you. Just saying. Colleges aren’t extending the deadlines because they want everyone to have a little extra time. Being affected by this storm is serious. Things should have been put together way before yesterday.
