Hi! I'm applying to Georgetown University and was going to submit my application tonight, but I just got an email saying the deadline was November 3rd, not November 1st. I also got an email from College of Charleston saying the same thing. Is every college doing this? or is this just a fluke in the system?

This does happen and it shows there is some flexibility to the system. Since it’s Saturday night, no one is going to look at them until Monday morning anyway and they know some students are going to have last minute issues they need to talk with their GCs about, so they open the window a little. Besides, if it gets them more applications, so much better for for the selectivity numbers. But don’t count on every college doing this - some may stick to the regular deadline.
