Hi all. I'm currently a rising sophomore at NYU Stern who is looking to transfer into McDonough for personal reasons. I was wondering how difficult it would be to accomplish this, as getting into Georgetown as a HS Senior is already hard enough.

My GPA is ~3.82. I'm looking to major in finance.

GPA is the name of the game when it comes to transfer admissions, and Stern is, obviously, a very well-regarded school. As long as you can put into words and effectively convey your reasons for wanting to come to Georgetown (it’s fine to say it’s personal and not get into details, but if so, you should be especially specific in describing what you want to study, what Georgetown offerings appeal to you, etc.), I think you have as good a shot as anyone else.
