external transfer

Hello, I am an out of state transfer student; I want to transfer to UT McCombs. I have a college gpa of 3.0 and transfer gpa of 3.2. Do I have a chance, or dont bother to waste my time?

Thanks.

Don’t waste your time. The average external transfer GPA into McCombs is about a 3.85-3.9 and your GPA is everything as a transfer student.

That does not mean I would not get accepted. There have to be some people with higher GPA than mine and still got denied

I’m sorry to say it, but that GPA will surely not get you in as an external transfer. The user above you was correct, and even internal transfer requires AT LEAST a 3.4-3.5 to be accepted. Best of luck.
