<p>Im a junior, and I have a crap load of EC's, but I only plan on putting down a few.
JHU really look at EC's tho? It takes a lot of time, and altho I have the A's, I havent had much sleep...</p>

<p>Do what you can. JHU (and other top schools) want depth and commitment over a huge range of random activities that don’t have much in common. You can’t (and shouldn’t) do everything. Find the ones you like and stick with them and do something interesting with them. Take time to enjoy life and don’t worry about doing activities just to get into any school (but do push yourself). I dropped some activities and added others I found interesting, it’s a learning process and you will evolve new interests and new paths over time.</p>
<p>I do lots of competitions, and the clubs are truly parts of what i love and are focussed, but… I cant get many leadership roles, cuz its based on popularity rather than participation at my school… it gets me angry…</p>
