<p>Suppose there is a discrepancy between the activities you list on the common app and the ones actually on your transcript? My school is horrible at following up which ECs you do there, to the point where they had my trophy advertising in their front office and didnt even have me down as doing that specific EC -_-</p>
<p>But yea, if i put down an activity i did on the common app and its not on my transcript or in my reccs will the admissions officers think im lying?</p>
<p>Ask your school to not report your ECs.
ECs are self reported for many.</p>

<p>1) transcripts don’t usually list ECs (Excuse me Mr. Principal, can you list my Dairy Queen job there for me?)</p>
<p>2) rec letters don’t usually contain lists of ECs (Yes, Mr. Jones, my trip to Ghana was last summer. Yes, I know you were my Geometry teacher but can you insert that in your rec letter anyways?)</p>
<p>3) discrepancies happen. Just don’t let it be a doozey like SIemens medalist or Olympic record holder or something like that. </p>
<p>4) Most colleges don’t care about any ECs</p>
<p>5) the few that do, will read your list and unless something major, major, major significant is in there, they’ll spend a total of 0.7 seconds perusing your list before moving onto the next section.</p>
