<p>Most colleges don’t care how many activities you have. The few that do care (and those are top colleges like HPYS) prefer focused activities, not basically inactive membership in a bunch of activities. Depth is more important than breadth.</p>

<p>Yeah, really only very top schools like HYPSMC care about EC’s. In other schools, you’ll be fine if you have great grades/test scores with a rigorous schedule, and terrible EC’s.</p>
