Okay, so when it comes to transferring to cal or ucla, how imporant is EC?

Does doing an internship for a company compensate for it?

Does doing an internship for a company compensate for it?

ECs are pretty minor. I would pick the internship over the ECs, especially if the company is related to your major somehow

Do both. The more you do, the better.

Yeah, if you can do both without sacrificing your gpa, do them. It’ll be fun

Either get a leadership position in a EC or do an internship that is relevant to your major.

What do you want to do after you get out?

Personally, I would say the EC activities are more important than work experience/internships. They show that you get involved, have diverse interests, and suggest that you do more than go to class/go to work. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, of course, especially if the internship relates to your major.

From my experience though, I had no internships/job experience related to my major, but have solid ECs, and was accepted to UCLA.
