Extra Curriculars dont stack up to the major im applying to?

I want to do engineering, but i feel like my extra curriculars dont match it and would be more appropriate for a business or economics major. Some of the highlight of my extra curriculars are: Internship at Grameen Bank, Internship at Brac Bank, and a business honors program at Ohio State over the summer. Science wise, the only extra curricular i have is a "research" project where we tracked turtles and analyzed their movements over the summer.

Does it make sense for me to apply as an engineering major? I should also note that i am on the fence on whether to major in business so its not as if i am a diehard must-be-engineer.

People do all sorts of extracurricular things in high school, and they are extra-curricular because they’re what you do outside your curriculum by definition. You can be interested in things outside your major!

Plenty of engineers go on to business/management type things later on.

The major you apply to represents what you want to train yourself in over the 4 years. Often, a major like engineering, mathematics, economics can be done with the aim of doing business type things in business school later on.

bump .
