EXTRA CURRICULARS- what brown wants to see

On the common app where you have to list your activities, I’m really not sure where to begin. Sports, theater, community service?

It asks to list what is most important to you in order, but do you think you should put them in categorizes like 2 sports, 1 hobby, 2 community service…

Or just random?

Also, my favorite activity is motorcycling, and I’ve been riding for over a year. Would it look bad to put this first or unique? And how do I include that I do Comm. service riding (such as the “pediatric brain tumor foundation’s motorcycle ride?”)

What does Brown want to see

It says to list them in order of importance: list them in order of importance. People will spend mroe time looking at your top stuff then your bottom stuff. If your TOP stuff doesn’t show dedication/hard work/personal involvement, it leaves a bad impression.

If motorcycling is the most important activity to you, put it first. I put lacrosse first on mine, because it’s the thing I put before everything else. And community service rides… well, there’s a section to expand upon ONE of the activities you do. You may want to make that motorcycling, unless you’re gonna use motorcycling in your main essay.
