Extra-Curriculars

I am very worried about my application. My SAT's and grades are above average for this school. But when I did the application on Quinnipiac's website, it did not have a space for the list of extracurriculars. It only asked "which was most meaningful." I wrote a very good description of what that was, but I am VERY WORRIED because i also left out national honor society and some sports. I'm just wondering what others did to supplement this application? Did you attach resumes? Others that have been getting in have lower grades, sats than me. Am I ok?

cbound24, if you are concerned, you might want to call admissions and speak with your admissions counselor. Perhaps you would like to add a resume and fax it, or email it to them.

But do you think I will get in? My Sats were about 1800 (I think are fine), i have taken a couple Ap's, mostly honors, only a could standards. I got great reccomendations also, with strong essay.

I am not sure. I know that it also depends upon what school/major you are applying for. Some are more competitive. If you do not feel comfortable w your application, do add the other ecs and fax or email it to them. Better to be safe than sorry. Make sure that you have a couple of safety schools also. Your gpa should be the most important part.

My GPA is above average (greater than 3), this is a target school for me, I have a couple as safetys. I applied thinking I can get in, and my friend got in with VERY low SATS and gpa. I also have a lot of work experience.

what are you saying are VERY low sat's? My D does not have stellar scores either - low on the range of Quinnipiac's scale - but we are hoping that a steadily improving GPA trend for senior year will help balance things out.

No dont worry I'm sure your Daughter will get in. In fact, I just found out today that I was indeed accepted!!!. My friend had Sats around 1300 out of 2400.

How long ago did you all who have already gotten decisions apply?

Son applied in early October, but they did not have it as a complete application until the third week of October.

early october

Unfortunatly, my D is still waiting to hear because her HS counselor did not send out her transcript and rec until 11/12. Her app was in end of Oct.

I applied last week of October. Just heard yesterday.
