Participate in clubs, give alot of time but do not have any leadership Postions. but i heard that colleges dont care unless you dont have a leadrership position?

They care if you don’t have any or very little extracurricular activities. Extracurricular activities don’t boost your application unless you have a leadership position and/or did something significant with that activity (such as showing a lot of passion, dedication, achieved much with that club, etc).

Depends what college. Truth be told, most colleges admit most of their students. So they don’t even care about ECs. The reason people think admissions is so hard is that for the 100-200 schools in most demand they are selective, but that leaves thousands that take all qualified applicants.

Now if you’re talking about top 200 they look at ECs, and the most selective in that group care about awards and leadership. For those schools member of this and that will not cut it.
