extra info--- should i?

in the common app there's that space for extra info, and there's something i sort of feel i should add but i don't know if it's worth it.

both of my parents work full-time, so i've had a really large home responsibility since freshman year, including running daily errands and picking my brother up at scheduled times. hence, i have been unable to participate in certain activities (mock trial, school sports) that i would have liked to.

is this worth mentioning, or should i just let it go?

Include it. Having major responsibilities for siblings, etc. also is something that many colleges count as if it were an EC.

Definitely worth mentioning.

Similar question: Would it be worth mentioning that your mother does not drive (parents divorced), therefore as the poster said, unable to participate in many activities in my freshmen/sophomore year.

no, that's just a lame excuse :P

haha, you think so?
