Extra letter of recommendation

Hi guys,

I asked a professor to write me a letter of recommendation for Harvard; how should I have him send the letter in? What all should he include on his recommendation?

i did the same thing. just put on the envelope that it is an supplementary recommendation. he doesnt need to fill out the common app forms.

So you are sending 3 letters of recommendation? Is this allowed? Is it recommended or would it be frowned apon? I'm considering to do the same.

How would Harvard know that the letter is for you, and not someone else of the same name? What indentification could you use?

You use social security number as the identifier. Have your professor put down your full name and then your SSN somewhere in the letter, preferably at the top somewhere. Also, there is the teacher recommendation form in the application packet, no one got one of those?

^we're talking about the supplementary rec, not the teacher one. Thanks for your response though!
